Edward Thompson | Chief Executive Officer
Edward Jerome, Sr. is a native of Brookhaven, Mississippi and he graduated from Brookhaven High School in 1986. He was chosen for student of the month in April, 1986 for academic and athletic accomplishments. Edward lettered in football and track and received MVP honors in football and most valuable distance runner in track.

After high school, he attended Copiah Lincoln Community College and graduated with an associates’ degree in Education. While attending Copiah Lincoln, he also played football.

Edward continued his post secondary education at Iowa Wesleyan College in Mt. Pleasant, Iowa where he graduated in 1994 and received a Liberal Arts degree in Education. Edward moved to Des Moines, Iowa in 1998 where he has worked for UPS, Urban Dreams, Children and Families of Iowa, and Solid Foundations before embarking on his own journey to start and manage THE NEW SIGHT PROGRAM. His education and experience, along with his passion and desire to change the direction of troubled teens, has provided him a strong foundation which has made this one of the most successful programs in this area. Edward has always had the desire to work with kids from an early age. He is the oldest of his generation and understands the importance of teaching young adults the lessons and pitfalls of life. Edward has learned many lessons in life and tries to pass on this knowledge to the younger generation. He has spent the past 10 years dedicating his time to helping teens and families cope with issues and learn how to have a more successful future. Edward is engaged to La Choy HaThi and is the father of four wonderful kids: Rosheka, 24; Jazz, 18; Edward, Jr., 8; and Koah, 6. He also has a two year old grandson named Jacob.
